Study the measurements of the electromagnetic form factor of the proton on BES

This paper gives a review of measurements of proton elecmagnetic form factors in spacelike and timelike region, repectively. The approach to measure proton elecmagnetic form factors in timelike region on BESⅡ with R scan data between 2.0~3.0 GeV is presented. Finally, it studies the feasibility and prospect of this work on BESⅢ.
