A New Method of Principle Component Analysis in Network Traffic

Traditional analysis method for network traffic is the scaled range statistic function(R/S).The results of R/S are not exact and cannot give an accurate judgment of whether the traffic model fitting actual traffic.In this paper the principle component analysis is imported into the network traffic analysis.It is used in computing Hurst parameter and analyzing the data based on different traffic model.It is used in analyzing the data based on the same traffic model with different parameters also.This method is useful and can conveniently give an accurate judgment for complex network traffic trace.
