Faults tree analyzing of PROFIBUS-DP bus communication in electric control system of drilling rig is a new method to diagnose the communication faults rapidly.Aiming at bus communication network and its practical application,communication faults tree can be established.Making use of qualitative analysis,the minimum cut set and structure importance can be determined.And by ranking the importance degree of influence factors of communication breakdown,the weak links can be found out,which provides reference for managing and maintaining personnel of drilling rig electric control system.
