Design of a Bandgap Reference for Monolithic AC/DC Converter

In this paper,a bandgap reference applicable to AC / DC converter is presented based on the analysis of basic principles of traditional bandgap reference. it’s avoid the impact of the operational amplifier offset voltage to the Reference with no op amp bandgap structure. Using LITEON 1μm HV BiCMOS technology, Hspice simulation results shows that ,the circuit can generate a reference voltage of 1.238V and has a PSRR of 60dB. The variation of the reference voltage is about 3.9mV with the temperature changing from -40℃to140℃. The temperature coefficient is 16.6×10-6/℃. This circuit completely meets the requests of AC/DC converter.
