Serial A/D Converter MAX1270 and Its Application in Data Acquisition

The A/D converter MAX1270 produced by MAXIM is firstly introduced in detail.The connection scheme of MAX1270 and AT89S52 is presented along with an assemble language based subroutine for A/D conversion. It has been successfully employed in a capil-lary electrophoresis system with conductivity detection for data acquisition.Satisfactory resolution and conversion rates are obtained.
