With Populus tomentosa Carr leaf as study object, the research of system based on the capacitive sensor principle was introduced, which can obtain leaf water content non-destructively.SPCE061A as a core part was designed in this system. The idea was to use the capacitive sensor for obtaining capacitance value of leaf water content, the capacitance value can convert to frequency real-time by c/f circuit, finally the system use the regression model between frequency and water content to calculate and display the value of leaf water content. The development of this system make the plant leaf water content measured real-time,fast and non-destructively.
