The Realization and Research of LZSS Algorithm for Chinese Text

This thesis implemented LZSS compression algorithm by program, and improved it for Chinese compression, it was proved efficient by the result of test, compared with normal LZSS12 compression algorithm, compression ratio was improved very much, the maximum compression ratio is about 20 for a long Chinese document, and the compression effect of a English text file is better than LZSS12 algorithm.
