A Method of Calculating the Influence of Micro-Blog Users Based on Domain

A method of calculating the influence of micro-blog users based on domain is proposed in this paper.This method distinguishes the domain of miro-blog using the k-nearest neighbors(KNN)algorithm and determines the influence of a user in every domain by the user influence algorithm which considers such factors as the degree of similarity between the content of micro-blog and domain ontology of Open Directory Project(ODP),the number of fans,the number of being referred to,the number of being commented,the login and registration time and the number of retweeting.An experiment shows that the proposed method can get more accurate and practicable result than traditional ones,for it takes into full consideration the characteristics of interdisciplinary and intersectional domain about the micro-blog.
