Study on the Power Grid Construction in Typhoon-prone Coastal Areas of East China

Zhang Zheng-ling · Electric Power Technologic Economics · 2007

Features of the power grids and typhoon disasters along the coastal areas of East China are analyzed. In view of the weak links on the grids of different voltage levels, the guidelines and strategies are studied from the view of planning to enhance the capability of resistance to natural disasters such as typhoon.Based on this, several specific measures for power grid construction are proposed i.e.accelerating and strengthening the power grid construction in these areas, further promoting the capability of optimized resources allocation within large geographical areas, and appropriately improving the design standards for the power grids in coastal areas.
