A New Fast Searching Algorithm of Motion Estimation for H.264/AVC

In this paper,a new fast searching algorithm is proposed on the basis of comprehensive analysis of variety of searching motion estimation algorithm and it′s basic principles.It makes full use of the correlation between the adjacent pixel block.The purpose is to reduce complexity and improve the efficiency of search with maintaining the same image quality.Experimental results show that the time consuming of this algorithm is 25%-30% of FS and 50%-60% of UMHexagons.
