Mapping from UML Class Diagram to Ontology

Ontology is a model describing concepts and the relations between them. It can express semantic through relations between concepts. However, there is a great variety of ontology language to read difficultly, which is not easy to communication between ontology modelers. UML is acquainted and applied by many people as a de-facto standard for modeling. On the basis of similarities between UML and ontology, it is proposed to describe ontology model by using UML class diagram, and it is established to map UML class diagram to ontology in order to make modeling more efficient.
