Underwater Infrared Image Enhancement Based on Rough Sets
Zhang Ruilan · Ocean Technology · 2010
Through transforming gray level of pixels of an image, image enhancement aims at improving visual effect or automatic segmentation. An underwater infrared image has low contrast and high noise, thus, reducing image noise, protecting object edges and enhancing image is need for understanding manually. The median filtering and image enhancing method based upon rough set theory was applied to the underwater infrared image processing, and the demonstration was given. The results show the method is feasible.
