A Signal Processing Method for LFM/CW Range Finder Based on Cosine Transform

LFM/CW system range finder transforms the information of distance into the frequency of IF signal,the difference of the echo signal and the local oscillate signal.Based on the analysis of the relations between the initialization phase and distance,this paper studies the feasibility of processing IF signal with cosine transform rather than with Fourier transform,and presents the relations that lie between the distance error and system parameters.These provide the theoretical reference to reduce the calculation amount while processing IF signal.
