A New Method of Single-Phase Fault Detection in Small Current Grounding System

When the power system fails,to find out the system fault detection accurately and expeditiously is demanded.This paper proposes morphological Haar wavelet to decompose the zero-sequence current signal,and process this signal with Top-Hat and Bottom-Hat operation,finally detect the fault line with the time relation between trough and crest of the zero-sequence current signal.A large number of simulations prove the effectiveness of this method.Compared with the wavelet decomposition,this method of computation is simple,involving only addition,subtraction,and extreme computing.
