Design and research of FDT device manager system based on .NET platform

Aimed at the problem of high-complex, high cost and low efficiency in developing FDT device manger system based on COM techniques, a new method based on .NET platform was proposed, and a new FDT structural model in .NET frame was presented. To realize the Frame-Application and Device Type Manager in current FDT version, replace .NET component with COM component and substitute Windows Form Control for ActiveX control. In this way the develop cycle was reduced and complexities were decreased. In addition, as the interoperation between .NET component and COM component, the proposed method can use the new technology of .NET and meanwhile maintain the existing resource. And the device manufacturer's investment was protected .
