Contemporary situations of GIS for E-government and its future development

In this paper,the contemporary situations of GIS for E-government are analyzed systematically,the development characteristics of E-government GIS in both China and abroad are summarized,the main problems blocking further development of the GIS for electronic government are pointed out,and finally,the future development tasks are discussed.
