Tian Ling-li · Applied Journal of General Practice · 2007

Objective To compare three kinds of decoagulant in determination of blood hematocrit(HCT).Methods 40 blood samples from-patients were respectively anticoagulated with dioxalate, heparin and EDTA-K_2. The HCT in anticoagulated blood with dioxalate was analyzed by Wen’s methods, while other blood samples anticoagulated with heparin and EDTA-K_2 were analyzed by KX-21 blood analyzer. The results were compared by using t test in statistics. Results There was no significant difference (P0.05)of hematocrit in blood samples anticoagulated with dioxalate in Wen’s method and with heparin or EDTA-K_2 in blood analyzer. Conclusions The blood anticoagulated with heparin or EDTA-K_2 can be used in determination of HCT in blood analyzer. It is convenient and swift, may avoid collecting sample again, and relieve patients' suffering.
