ACHIEVEMENT OF HIGH SOFTWARE PRODUCTIVITY THROUGH INTEGRATION AND AUTOMATION

H Heng, Yu Gu · Computer Applications and Software · 1986

In the first part of this paper, both integration and automation are proposed as effective measures to achieve order-of-mag(?)itude improvement in software productivity. The design guidelines of an experimental prototype system are presented in the second part which emphasizes the conceptual models and concept integration, on which the system integration is based. The system kernel is an application generator that transforms abstraction based speoifications into executable programs. A set of tools are provided to create a cornplete application development environment.
