Word Sense Disambiguation(WSD) has been a difficult area of Natural Language Processing(NLP), it plays an positive role in Machine Translation(MT), Information Retrieval(IR), Text Categorization(TC) and so on.This paper expounds methods of Word Sense Disambiguation, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each method, analysizes factors effecting results of Word Sense Disambiguation(WSD), and shares some ideas on WSD.
