Research on Redundancy Elimination Algorithm for Groundwater Level Monitoring and Its Application

Guo Tianen · Water Resources and Power · 2012

Bases on the problems existed in current methods of groundwater level monitoring used in common monitoring wells,a redundancy elimination algorithm for groundwater level monitoring is proposed. The algorithm combines the advantages of the effective bandwidth method, arithmetic average, time series analysis and weight distribution. The effective bandwidth method and arithmetic average method are adopted to obtain the effective water level points and reference points for calculation.Time series analysis theory is applied to establish data prediction model in small period. On this basis, the forecast model is modified.Approximate water level points are obtained by using weight distribution method.Taking Longbao country well of Xiaodian region in Taiyuan city for an example, the results show that the proposed algorithm eliminates the redundant data effectively and raises the reliability of observed data, which lays a good foundation for further research and analysis of the water level.
