The analysis of the demands and strategies of community health service information systems in Shandong Province

Objective To learn the development condition of community health service information systems in Shandong province so as to provide the basis for the majorization of community health information systems.Methods We used multi-stage stratified sampling method to survey the development condition of community health service information systems by questionnaires.Results The demands on the use of community health service information systems is high in the community health service centers(stations),the urgency of realizing community health services information systems management and hardware updates,upgrades showed the urgency in the less developed regions was significantly higher than in the developed and medium-developed regions.The urgency of imprving function module on public health,medical,health care,medicine and financial monitoring showed public health module had the highest urgency to improve.Conclusion The demands of community health service information systems was imbalance in different areas.The community health service organization should optimize community health service information systems,improve the construction and use level of it according to planning requirements and demands of information systems.
