Overview of research on protection reliability

The study of protection reliability makes a significant contribution to researching on new protection principles and configuration and providing reference for system design and operation.This paper reviews research on evaluating indicator and modeling of protection reliability,sums up deficiencies that still exist.Based on present research findings,new issues and challenges of protection reliability arising along with new technology and protection principium such as all-digital protective systems and wide-area protection are analyzed to supply a reference for further research.
