Chaotic Characteristic Identification and Forecasting Precision Analysis on Short-term Traffic Flow

It is necessary to identify chaostic characteristic before forecasting traffic flow based on chaos (theory). The chaostic characteristic is formed by the contradiction between time-length interrelation and long (memory) in time series. Hurst exponent can identify these characteristic. The mutual information can check up the forecasting precision.
