The Use of Parallel Corpora in Applied Translation Studies

Recent years have witnessed a significant growth of corpus-based translation studies that appeared in the beginning of the 1990s.This paper attempts to give a general introduction to corpus-based applied translation studies,including the use of parallel corpora in translator training,translation criticism and machine translation.The purpose of this article is to usher in a new paradigm and broaden our horizons of translation studies in China.
