Research on Improved Turbo-Codes Decoding Algorithm

After analyzing MAP algorithm for Turbo-codes decoding and aiming at the idiosyncrasy of the conventional Log —MAP algorithm,an improved algorithm is presented in this paper.The results of simulation show that the performance of the new algorithm is very close to the Log—MAP algorithm for Turbo—codes decoding and can decrease the decoding complexity greatly at the same time.In addition,realization of the new algorithm by hardware is very easy.
