Automated Recognition of Electrical Circuit Drawings

A method for reccoginzing electrical circuit drawings plotted by general CAD software is proposed. First, electrical symbols are extracted from the drawings based on their graphic characteristics.An electrical symbol is represented by the attributed graph with two-level attributes.Then the filtering database of model graphs and the Ullman’s algorithm are used to recognize electrical symbols.Finally, the text in electrical circuit drawings and the connection relation ships between electrical symbols are extracted.Experiments prove that the method can recognize electrical circuit drawings precisely.
