A Summary of the Comparison between the CDE Flowing Features of Thyroid and the CDFI Flowing Image

Objective To compare the effectiveness between the funchon of Colour Doppler Energy (CDE) and that of colour Doppler Flow Imaging (CDFI) of the flowing images in thyroid tumor and to reveal the significance of CDE and CDFI in the diagnosis of benign and malignant tumors. Methods Fifty and six cases of thyroid tumor (31 benign and 25 ma- lignant cases) were studied. Results The flowing indication rate of 56 cases was 82.l% in CDE and 57.1% in CDFI;the former was 25.0% higher than the latter (P0.05). The CDE indication of nowing classification of tumor was better than that of CDFI in 55.4%, and the same in 44.6%. which disclosed that the difference was obvious and great (P0.01). By flowing classification, the diagnostic rate of distinguishing benign or malignant tumor was 82.l% in CDE and 85.7% in CDFI respectively; the deference was insignificant (P0.05 ). Conclusion As to the sensitiveness and accuracy, CDE is better than CDFI in the flowing indication of thyroid tumor, but there is no great difference in distinguishing benign tumor from malignant one.
