According to the practical engineering requirement and taking consideration into nonlinear character, the authors present the principle of engineering adiabatic computing, instead of the principle of linear adiabatic computing. . In order to overcome the disadvantage of two-phase-input in cross - coupled adiabatic circuits, they present a static adiabatic master -slave flip-flops with gate-controlled circuits of sampling input, which can be single-phase-input. On the basis of above theory, this paper presents a synthesis for adiabatic synchronous sequential circuits, by which an adiabatic 10 counter circuit of 8421 BCD is designed to consume lower power than three ADL inverter, which speed can be also increased. Computer simulation shows the correctness of above theory and method.
