Application of CPLD in Control and Protection System of Transmitter

Programmable logic Device (PLD) appeared in the end of 1960's. It is in favored with designer because of its agility, high efficiency, and high reliability. CPLD is a complex PLD and appeared in 1990's. Its main characteristic is that the integrated size exceeds 1000 Equivalent Gate. Thanks to its larger capability, higher speed and ability of powerful simulatation, CPLD improves the agility of circuit design greatly, and not only reduces the cost but also design risk. So it's widely used in industry field. According to the characteristic of transmitter, the function of control and protection for transmitter is accomplished by CPLD.
