Research on Digital Down-conversion Technology in Satellite TV

Based on the structure of traditional satellite television receivers,this article presents a efficient digital down-conversion algorithm which is applied to satellite receivers.According to its shortcoming,the article introduces a method to improve the frequency response of the CIC filter. The new filter has less loss in pass-band and sharper transition band.It can be clearly seen that new filter efficiently decreases the distortion of interest signals and the disturbance caused by aliasing,and also ensures the integrality of the signals which passed the decimator.The result shows that it could make the satellite receivers acquire a good down-conversion.
