xpTools Customize Toolsets for Code Compression System

Through Compressing full code or sub code of application software,the code compression technology can reduce the size and power of the memory effectively.But the code compression technology is not used widely now because of the lack of efficient customizing environment.This paper proposes the xpTools to customize the code compress system.The xpTools include complier,simulator,analysis tools,synthesis tools,and etc.It can be created automatically by the ISA chosen by customers.Using the xpTools,customers can trade off the performance,power,and size of the system through the code compressing technology.then the best design of code compression can be configured.
