Application of a minimization random allocation system in multi-center clinical trials

Recently,minimization random allocation gets more and more attention in the fields of new drug clinical trials owing to its outstanding balance ability in both the numbers in each treatment and the characteristics of each group.However,it is not widely used because of its complexity in calculating and applying.We have developed a web-based minimization random allocation system,and used it in several multi-center clinical trials.The advantages and disadvantages of this system were discussed in this review.We expect that our experience will be beneficial to professionals in this field,and promote the application of minimization methods and the centralized randomization in multi-center clinical trials of new drugs.
