Influence of Damper with Different Pressures and Positions on Damp Vibration of Piano String

The influence of damper with different pressures and positions on damp vibration of piano string is studied. It is pointed out that there are two ways to strength the damp effect of damper on the damp vibration of piano string. The first way is to enhance the damp force, but it is restricted because the strike force can not be too large. The second way is to choose a proper installation position of damper. Although in practice the damp force dose not act on a point but on a section, the discussion of force action point is still significant.
