Expert systems for predicting grasshoppers in Gansu province include database, knowledge base and model base. The most important function is predicting grasshoppers.It shows users the knowledge experiences, and the techniques from grassland protected specialists for many years using multimedia (e.g., graphics and imaginary information) methods. Users can use it to classify and predict grasshoppers, also can use it to select fitting time and technology to control grasshoppers. It has important implication for exert merit of the forage production in Gansu province.
