USING RDBMS TO BUILD EXPERT DATABASE SYSYTEM

This work investigates strategies for building an Expert Database System (EDS) based on RDBMS, assert that a RDBMS can perform knowledge-based reasoning in addition to its other tasks. To prove this, describe a possible data and knowledge (rules) representation and store it in data warehousing. Also we describe a method for the RDBMS to perform reasoning, so RDBMS is used for EDS′s shell. This application is implemented by the emulation of OPS5 in INGRES.
