A performance enhancing proxy suitable for wired-wireless hybrid network

To improve TCP transmit performance in wireless network and increase link bandwidth utilization,a performance enhancing proxy(PEP) is proposed which is applicable in wired-wireless hybrid network environment.It adopts new flow control algorithms.Experimental results show that compared with standard TCP protocol,using PEP can increase link bandwidth utilization conspicuously and improve TCP transmission performance in long time delay environment.
