The elements analysis of computer virus’ modifying Windows OS Registry

Modifying Registry is the common means of computer virus’ infecting and damaging computer system under Windows OS platform, so researching the elements of computer virus’ modifying Registry has important significance to prevent and kill computer virus in Windows OS. The paper sorts computer virus under Windows platform into Macro virus, Script virus, Web page virus and Win32 PE virus, and analyses the elements of their modifying Registry separately, and then gives a common method making use of Registry to clear computer virus, lists some security configuration of Registry, at last discusses the common characteristic of computer virus’ modifying Registry.
