Application of Arteriovenous Transit Time in the Organ Perfusion Imaging

Yanyan Jiang · Medical Recapitulate · 2011

Some normal and abnormal tissues can′t be distinguished since their acoustic characteristics of gray-scale image are very similar to each other, and Doppler is also difficult to detect the small blood vessels and lower blood flow signal because of the influence of signal noise ratio.New contrast-enhanced ultrasound successfully opened up a whole new field, which can effectively reflect the hemodynamic changes of abnormal tissue through the dynamic observation of strengthening process of the organization with contrast agents, and also has been successfully used for liver and kidney tumors identification.Meanwhile, the detection of arteriovenous transit time also may become a new method using to evaluate the function of transplantation liver and kidney, and their tumors identification.
