Design of Airborne Terminal VGC Respose on Input Signal Power Breaking

Xin Li · Telecommunication Engineering · 2009

During the linked test of a spread spectrum airborne terminal,it is found that when the input signal power of mutations to achieve more than 30 dB,the loss of lock phenomenon will appear in the communication link sometimes. In view of the situation, this paper introduces the operating principle of the terminal, analyzes the impact of input signal power of mutations on the terminal, and finds the reason for the lock missing link is that poor SNR causes too long VGC response time,so as not to meet the system requirements,Then it provides corresponding solution, and draws the conclusion that the VGC response time must be less than the relevant time slip of spreading codes.System linked test verified the conclusion.
