A Novel Video Decoder Architecture and Its Hardware Implementation

Video decoder and processor is the key component of digital television receiver.In this paper,an novel video decoder architecture and its hardware implementation is described,and the function and architecture of the main module presented in detail.The analog-to-digital conversion is realized by the AFE module.The comb filter implements the separation of colour intensity signal from luminousness intensity signal.CENRDE module tones up the color and reduces the noise.The escaler module accomplishes the transformation from interleaved scanning to line-by-line scanning.Finally,the output formatter completes the transformation of display form The architecture and design is proved fairly effective in video decoding.
