Design of H.264 Decoder and the Optimization of Algorithm

To reduce the computational complexity of the prediction searching algorithm of video codec based on embedded platform,the paper presents a design of H.264 video decoder based on TMS320DM6446,and analyses the H.264 Intra-Inter prediction modes.The paper expatiates a fast Inter-Intra decision algorithm of H.264,which calculates and compares the SAE(Sum of Absolute Error) of whole modes,and select the minimum SAE as the best mode of all.Experimental results show that the algorithm could avoid iterative intra mode search under conditions of PSNR nearly invariable,and make the computational complexity decrease 78% averagely.
