SQRT/EM Method of Estimating Parameters in IRT and Its Appilications

Abstrcat In this thesis, based on IRT,a new method named SQRT/EM,was proposed in the light of the statistical test method. The results of Monte Carlo stimulation show that the new method , compared with homogeneous software, dealing with 2PLM is accepted scaled mean absolute error as the criterion ;secondly, a test including fewer unusual response patterns can also be evaluated ; thirdly, the new method can be applied to estimate fewer items and fewer examineer.
