Design of Multi-channel MAC Protocol in Cognitive Mesh Network

In order to solve the severe collision in the data transmission of multi-channel dynamic access protocol over cognitive wireless mesh network,a new channel assignment algorithm based on reputation model is proposed.The algorithm computes the channel reputation by learning a model based on previous experience of primary channel transmission.In the negotiation phase,the cognitive receiver chooses the channel with the most expected rate of success by comparing the channel reputation.The transmission error can be reduced by avoiding the channel collision with the other cognitive users and the primary users.Simulation results demonstrate that the algorithm can improve the success ratio and the network throughput effectively.
