Discussion about self-excited method error on capacitive voltage transformer

Measuring partial-voltage capacitance and tan δ value of superposition capacitive voltage transforme(rCVT) by CVT self-excited method is discussed. This paper introduces how to perform test on CVT with the frequency-conversion bridge,and what we should pay attention to in the test. The feasibility and necessity of self-excitation measurement for superposition CVT are analyzed by experiment. Also,the main factors that affect self-excitation measurement are discussed.On this basis,some problems worth of attention are indicated concerning CVT operation,maintenance and test. Test data makes it clear that the improved self-excited method is adaptive to on-site test.
