Introduction of the background of Reverse Engineering generation,the concept of Reverse Engineering and related concepts are given.The primary goal of Reverse Engineering is point out by the analysis of purposes of Reverse Engineering.The goal is to increase the full comprehension of the subject system for software maintenance and further development.The main steps to implement Reverse Engineering are given out,such as analysis,abstraction and view the subject system.The process of analysis system is described in detail.Static analysis and dynamic analysis are its methods.The development of Reverse Engineering and further work on it are also presented.
