Traffic Measurement Model Based on Traffic Matrix Estimation

Network traffic measurement is the basic data source of traffic matrix estimation. This paper presents the currently prevalent traffic measurement technologies, and proposes a traffic measurement model based on traffic matrix estimation in ground of these technologies. This model introduces the conceptions of measurement services and data services, which can be used for the traffic matrix estimation. This paper also discusses the principles of the communication and data storage of this model. This model is very significative for traffic matrix estimation.
