Implementation of CORDIC based on FPGA

This paper describes the principle of CORDIC algorithm precisely,analyzes the computational method of CORDIC,takes the sine and cosine computation as an example,and gives its flow chart of iterative construction.With the help of Quartus II which is a good compilation and simulation platform developed by Altera Company,hardware simulation result with FPGA is given.An EP1C6Q240C8 belonged to Cyclone is chosen to finish the FPGA design.In the end,compares the simulation result with theory value,they are essentially coincident.
