The Research and Implementation of the Booting Process based on DOC Enabled Embedded Systems

The advantage of lower price and larger capacity of the DiskOnChip,which is based on NAND Flash technology,fulfills the growing requirements of embedded storage.Comparing to the NOR Flash systems,the booting process of the embedded systems based on DOC is more complex.This paper first describes the summary of booting process,and then an implementation of the IPL is given after analyzing the format of DOC binary partition.Finally,we discuss how to write a SPL by modifying the Redboot.
