ADJUSTMENT AND WAVELET ANALYSIS OF WUSONG TIDAL DATA

Wusong tidal gauge station in Shanghai has the longest tidal record of coastal area in China.Comparison of Wusong tidal data with Huangpu park tidal data reveals that Wusong tidal data has system deviation since 1952.Two sudden change points(1929 and 1951) are obtained by using wavelet analysis,and the record can be divided into three parts.Computing the mean values of each part,the data can be adjusted to the same datum point.Based on the adjusted data,a regressive model is used to interpolate missing data from Sep.1937 to Dec.1943.The train of thought in this paper can be of reference for other long-term tidal records which have similar data deviation.
