Application Study of Mobile-Agent Techniques in Broadband PLC Network Management

This paper mainly presents the management scopes of PLC broadband and analyzes network element type and its characteristics of PLC system from broad sense and narrow sense. Moreover, according to actual conditions and the requirement of daily operation and maintenance, this paper focuses on the design of several management modules and it also defines the primary contents and functions of each module. Furthermore, Based won the principle of mobile agents and its application to network management, a mobile-agent based management model for broadband PLC network is proposed and the implementation technology has also been presented. Finally, this paper analyzes and contrasts the characteristics of this model as well as the advantages compared with traditional client/server approach.
